JOHN STOCKER

John Stocker has practiced for over 25 years as a real estate attorney.  Upon graduation from Northwestern University Law School, John joined the Chicago office of Katten Muchin Rosenman. Practicing Real Estate law at a large, national law firm exposed John to many complex real estate transactions, including acquisitions, leasing, and construction projects.  He subsequently became a partner in the law firm MKS LLC and then a founding partner in SMJ Law LLC.  In both firms he continued to focus on commercial real estate, although he has also remained active with residential real estate transactions. John was an undergraduate at the University of Illinois, and he still holds hope that either the football or basketball team may once again return to glory.

TIM O'NEIL

Tim O'Neil has practiced for over 25 years as a real estate attorney. Tim joined Skadden Arps after graduation from Northwestern University Law School. At Skadden he practiced in the Real Estate Group. After Skadden, Tim co-founded Parkinson and O'Neil where he focused on residential real estate. While there he closed hundreds of purchases and sales of houses, condominiums and multi-unit buildings. He also focused on leasing, building acquisition and entity formation. After Parkinson and O'Neil, Tim practiced as a sole practitioner focusing on real estate. He has also been involved in many transactions as an investor. Tim graduated from The Second City Writing Program and writes comedy songs as a hobby. His kids insist they are still funnier than him.

Real estate veterans John Stocker and Tim O'Neil started Stocker and O'Neil to provide excellent, professional legal representation for commercial and residential real estate clients.  John and Tim have over 50 years of real estate experience between them. Although focusing on real estate, Stocker and O'Neil also provides legal advice for entity formation, basic tax advice, wills and trusts.
